Chapter members joined hundreds of APTA colleagues who participated
in the Advocacy Academy and PT Day on Capitol Hill in Washington,
D.C. on May 22-24. The event followed the 2007 House of Delegates
meeting in which members representing all 50 states, the District of
Columbia, and Puerto Rico set APTA policy. "Joining with
colleagues from across the nation to meet with members of Congress
is an incredible opportunity to educate lawmakers about the many
benefits of physical therapist services," said Ira Gorman who serves
as the Chapter's federal affairs liaison.
