The 2004 ACE Award for PT Assistant student
was presented to Lori
Flint (left) of Pueblo Community College’s PTA program. Lori has
maintained a 4.0 GPA while working full time. She served as
president of the PTA Club at Pueblo Community College and is
described by her clinical instructors as a self-starter,
organized, responsible, flexible, confident, an excellent
communicator, adaptable, and a lover of community service.
Johnelle Shaw (right), winner of the
Pauline Cerasoli ACE Award for the outstanding physical
therapist student, maintained a GPA
of 3.911 at the University of Colorado Health Sciences
Center’s PT program. She maintained an active role in
volunteer and community activities as the Nominations Committee
Chairman for the Colorado Chapter Student SIG, Stout Street Clinic for the
homeless participant, class representative for the CU Entry
Level Curriculum committee, and volunteered for the National
Jewish Hospital to provide weekly aquatic therapy to a gentleman
with cerebral palsy. She also has a special talent working with
children and is described as a confident and caring caregiver,
dedicated to her chosen profession with passion.
