Outstanding Promotion of PT Month

Accelerate Physical Therapy in Arvada

Each year, the chapter chooses the clinic or facility that does the most outstanding job in promoting physical therapy during October – which is National Physical Therapy Month. The competition is open to all PT facilities in the state.

For the second year in a row, this year’s award goes to Paul O’Brian, PT, CSCS,  and his staff at Accelerate Physical Therapy in Arvada.  The following outstanding activities took place:

 - Banners with the “Connect with Physical Therapy” theme along with previous years’ banners were on display throughout the month, proudly advertising the profession of Physical Therapy

 - PT brochures, stickers and promotional items were provided to individuals who visited the Accelerate Physical Therapy offices. Eight hundred copies of the magazine “For Your Health” were made available free of charge.

 - A mailing announcing PT Month went out to more than 300 physicians in the surrounding communities; the bright “Connect with Physical Therapy” stickers adorned the envelopes.

 Physical Therapy Month was proclaimed by the City of Arvada. The presentation was at the City Council chambers and PTs from the surrounding communities were invited to attend.

 As an added bonus, Paul O’Brian coached Holy Family High School’s offensive line this past season and in this role promoted PT Month in October. His team finished undefeated at 13-0, winning the Colorado 2A State Football Championship

 Congratulations to Paul O’Brian and staff at Accelerate Physical Therapy. This plaque will hang in Paul’s office until next year’s winner is selected.
